Defy Gravity

God, you defied gravity.
The weight of The King raised on a cross, humiliated for all to see.
God, you defied my science book.
You died. Then, as you came back to life, all of the power of death you took.
God, you were politically incorrect.
You wrote a new law in the sand to save the harlot with no impurity to detect.
God, you put religion to shame.
You died to kill it and prove that the power is in The Name.
God, you voided out defeat when you refused to let even one bone break.
Calvary, it was, calvary at stake.
God, you defied gravity.
The God of Heaven in Hell... How can this be?
God, you defied natural law.
Eternity given through nails in the Lion's paw.
God, you changed history.
The Almighty crammed in a body to bleed as red as red can be.
God, you changed this earth.
I glory in your resurrection but oh, Hallelujah! for your birth.
God, you defied gravity.
You lifted the weight of my sins, my ugly, my sickness, my hell off of me.
If you indeed did this for me
Then I will follow your example and defy gravity.
The weight of Hell I push aside.
I pull all of Heaven down to, next to me, reside.
