ETERNITY

Often we say we are living for a day to come.
We say we are waiting, expecting to return to where we came from.

Our eyes are set on a day that’s far away.
We endure today’s struggles saying, “We can’t wait to be free from this clay.”

We dream about our future where we see streets of gold.
We are aching to see a Kingdom in the beauty of things we’ve been told.

We’re waiting, waiting, waiting for a day that will be.
What if, though, Eternity wasn’t far away at all but inside of you and me?

God has placed all of Eternity in each and every heart.
We can’t fathom it or grasp it. We don’t understand where to start.
(Ecclesiastes 3:11)

Eternity is not so far away from you. It’s not hiding.
The thing you crave, the thing you hunger for is in you abiding!

Wake up the spirit God confined within the clay!
Arise, all of Eternity is inside of you this day!

Eternity is not a distant place of dreams.
Forever is among us, so much closer than it seems.

Eternity is not in the future. Eternity is now.
It’s defying everything you thought you knew, crushing every “How?”

Stop looking all around you, and seek the One within you.
You'll find the source of Forever and your Destiny will send you.

Send you beyond the surface of things easy and things cheap.
Send you out for mighty works that even Hell can never beat.

Eternity is sending you out for greatness. It's sending you out for love.
It's sticking its foot against your chest and giving it a shove.

Knocking you into holy purpose far beyond the lukewarm.
Knocking you to a place where the angels of heaven sing and swarm.

Forever is present with you making your heart cry.
It's squeezing on the inside of you, forcing you to ask, "Why?"

"Why am I here and what am I to do?"
Then Eternity answers back, "Give me all of you!"

Eternity is not distant. It's not far away.
Eternity is within you, pleading with you this day.

Live for more. Burn for bigger. Encounter your purpose.
Then, on that day to come, in His Kingdom, it will have been worth it.

Tumble, Tumble.

What a privilege to identify You, God, as Father.
What a high standard to be Your daughter.

I’m thankful for the process where You examine my soul and take inventory.
I count it an honor to carry Your glory.

You show me that You love me, but You show me what to change.
You show me Your crimson grace, but You’re holy standard remains.

The big and the great You're doing in me is greater than any great I ever thought I’d see.
And, here’s the thing, it can’t be done, it can’t be achieved through me.

So, You have it. I give You everything.
And, then, if You ask for more, this too I will bring.

How can I know God and stay the same?
How can I encounter my Maker and not encounter His flame?

This flame is scorching, burning up my will.
This flame is consuming, His words from my lips they spill.

How can I converse with God and not lay down my life?
How can I kiss the divine and not let it cut out my weakness with a Craftsman’s knife?

How can I be in covenant with God and not follow His voice?
How can I be a citizen of His kingdom and not make a solid, uncompromising choice?

How can I experience Heaven and leave thorns on the vine?
How can I ever decrease me and increase Him with a heart stained with pride?

Do I dare say, “no” to the request of the King?
How can I stand before Him without a gift to bring?

To polish the gem, it must go for a tumble.
Spinning and flipping, crashing free of the ridges born for a stumble.

To make the stone shine, it must transform under a blaze.
He’ll put the heat on me until the world can see the glaze.

He’s breathing on me to get rid of the world's smell.
He’s wrapping His arms tight, squeezing out the disbelief of Hell.

Tumble, tumble, collide, burn.
I lay down my life and will as I learn.

So, I tumble, tumble holding on to You.
I tumble, tumble while You make me new.

I kneel, I praise under Your holy fire.
I submit myself to You so Your call I can acquire.

The great in me can only be found in You.
So, I’m running, I’m leaping and climbing after Truth.

My, My. How enormous the plan You hold for me!
My God, I’ll give my all to do all You’ve told to me.

Doing big can’t be done by being small.
God dreams can only be accomplished by letting God be ALL.
